Vivek Institute of Laboratory Medicine was started in the Year 1993 and is the leading institute in Tamil Nadu. We have automated instruments in Bio-chemistry, Clinical Pathology, Serology, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Histopathology.

Vivek Laboratories, the leading lab of the District is functioning since 1986 with all latest facilities. It is recognised as Reference Lab & Nodal Collaboration Centre under IAPM National External Quality Assurance Programme. The institute is housed in a spacious 9000 sq.ft building. A well stocked library with internet facility is available for the students.

Vivek Blood Bank is attached to the institute with facilities for component separation. In addition to routine lab tests we undertake all special investigations including coagulation profile, Hormone Assays, Western Blot, Cytogenetics etc.  We also undertake regular research and thesis work of students from various arts colleges.  Hence, students will have ample on the spot exposure in all techniques.

We have all the facilities available in  leading labs of the cities. A spacious auditorium, to seat about 200 members, caters to regular CME programmes for technicians and doctors all over Tamil Nadu
